Not your average Quinceañera...

We are back from a great 15th birthday celebration for DLP.
We started with a surprise for DLP at the Sahara Casino where they had a NASCAR Café and SPEED the Ride, then we got our room and when it was almost 3:30pm we started to go get something to eat and we realized that all of our shoes were missing. We spent about 45 min. looking for them all over the hotel, car and even went in to the luggage hold at the hotel and found nothing. We had to go on a store hunt....I am not kidding you when I say 20 min. later we see TARGET and it saved our lives. We finally had our shoes to wear to the opera. We all got ready and headed out. Machini in his suit looking handsome as ever with his phantom mask I made him. DLP and myself wore the mask that we made especially for DLP's special occasion. Everyone loved to see Machini and after a while I should have started to charge for every picture that was taken with him and all the women. He was loving every famous moment. He was too cute.

DLP was looking so elegant and all dressed up.....let me tell you, I had to hold my tears back to many times. She would of thought that was cheezzy.

The Phantom of the Opera in Las Vegas was just AMAZING! We couldn't believe how beautiful and great it was. We are still talking about it.......Marco didn't want to have anything to do with the Phantom so he waited for us as he watched NuNu. He was his side kick for the night and Marco loved every minute of it ........due to the fact that "quote" "unquote" He was a "chick magnet" we were all laughing as he was tell us how all the girls thought NuNu was so cute and of course I am sure Marco loved the attention too.

We all froze our asses off in the pool, here we thought that in 100 degree weather the pool water would be at least somewhat luke warm but boy were we surprised....the first one to jump in was DLP and you would of thought just by looking at her face we should of stayed out of the pool and I do believe she did say it was hella cold, but we all ignored her. The next one in was Machini and again looking at his shivering teeth. Marco just plopped right in and no it didn't stop there I decided to jump in as well because by then Marco was already on his way over to throw water at me and I was going to get wet anyway so yes I did jump in. Hell-a-cold was not the word I wanted to use. It was so cold that I could feel the metal in my hip getting cold.....Marco looked like his body was going in shock and out we went within 5 min.

We laughed all the way to the room. I don't know what we were thinking at the time ...it had to be all the smoke in the casino I guess.

All in all we all had a great time on our outing....hope you enjoyed the pictures.

It's great to hear that in spite of a few glitches (missing shoes, freezing pools), it sounds like you guys had a great time. I love what you all are wearing. I especially love seeing all those kodak smiles. We are happy that Ms. Nay got to spend her 15th doing something that she liked. Looking forward to seeing you guys soon.

Not an average kid we have on our hands. This was the best thing that fell into place in a long time. I am glad everything worked out. Very big high five to the Mendez family and V&R for making this GRAND event happen. I was so happy to hear and SEE they had a good ol' time. Gianina has changed all of our lives in some way or another and she majorly affected the lives of Marie and Matthew that night. haha. Pretty Amazing. I am sure Marcito would have appreciated it if it was not that long and all these monkeys would not have worn us out at home with the constant singing and chanting and high pitched squeeling. haha. It sounded like an awesome event. Well. I think Nay had a not so average birthday full of not so average fun! Cheers!!

Well the shoes were never found and never taken to the lost and found and Marco didn't want to bother making a report with the hotel. He said they were stinking old shoes anyway.

I would like to thank Marco's family for giveing DLP's quiceanera's dream a reality. As soon as she realized she had enough $ for the tickets her quinceanera dream began to unfold. She became an explotion of emotions. She screamed, yelled, jumped, and hug whoever was near her, and would say "I can't wait one more day! I dream about it, I daydream about it. I can see me
being there already!. I can't wait! I'm all exited!!!.....
Well let me tell you it was worth the wait. She look so beautiful all dressed-up for the opera, shawl, mask and a very handsome six year old escort who was wearing the Phantom's mask. Walking side by side she look so praud in her brother's company. Before we knew it we were part of the magic, a dream come true. It was an unforgetable experience for all of us.NOW her word were, "I'm soooo happy!this is my best birthlday ever! The best bithday I have ever had! It is more than perfect!!!. We then wished, you were there to see her.
Thank you. You have given an unforgetable quinceanera to the most unique, most beautiful, most loveing, most understanding most careing, most loveable and more deserving grandchild of mine.
Thank you.

If I may speak for Marcus's family...I want to say that we are sooo happy that DLP truly enjoyed her 15th "quinceanera". We know that many families plan these big productions that many times, are not understood or appreciated by the participant ie. "la quinceanara". We are so proud of DLP for doing something that she was truly passionate about and we are so grateful that she very much enjoyed it! Yes we are all definitely proud of DLP because she has shown such a maturity, appreciation and passion that is quite astounding at her age. She decided to celebrate her 15th in an interesting and maybe some might feel in an orthodox way. This just tell us that DLP is quite her own unique and most definitely magnificent person that deserves to be celebrated. May I just say that it is no surprise that she is so wonderful and that Machini is so adorable. It is not hard to believe when they have such wonderful parents as Marcus and the Wife. We are sooo looking forward to seeing you all this weekend:)

An outing fit for a young lady.

It was a magical experience. Gianina was extremely excited to go to see the Phantom of the Opera. Thanks to her Tias , Tios, and Grandparents Gianina had a 15th Birthday that she will never forget.

When we saw her standing there in front of the Theatre!! She looked all grown up. I was overwhelemed to see how beautiful she looked. Once our group was together there was a special aire to us all. Everyone realized it was a special event by our masks. I think Giania's Birthday Celebration was wonderful and perfect. I know she will always treasure this day.

When I turned 15. Abuelita Lola took Maria & I to our first experience at the Guadalajara Ballet Company performance. I remember to this day the wonderful experience of dressing up and attending the grand affair.

My grandma wanted us to be cultured. So interesting that Gianina chose this type of outing on her own. Visa would have been so happy.

Now you know that your baby is growing up right!!! Turning 15 marks a turning point. I can say that you should be proud of yourselves. With all of this craziness you have kept a close knit relationship with your children. You are doing a great job raising a wonderful young lady.
Love you V
